What are Wifi Spots?

A project of the Broadband Program of the Government of Puerto Rico

The Wi-Fi Spots will offer free internet in several public spaces in Puerto Rico's 78 municipalities, including, in some cases, squares, parks and libraries. This project seeks to expand access to connectivity, providing the community with the opportunity to connect, access online resources and actively participate in the digital world.

Communicate with loved ones who are in and out of the country. In times of emergency or on a daily basis, Wi-Fi Spots allow us to keep them closer.

Wi-Fi Spots have a positive impact, especially in communities with limited connectivity, providing them with a window to the digital world and facilitating the personal, academic and professional development of their residents. Free internet access expands opportunities to connect to essential health, education, government and economic development resources.

Locations and access

Wifi Spots is available in multiple municipalities across Puerto Rico. (This section will include a map of Puerto Rico marking each Wi-Fi Spot, along with a list of specific locations - FPO. ) *

Each Wi-Fi point is located in central and busy places in the community, such as public squares, community centers, parks and transport stops. The goal is that no resident is too far from a free hotspot.
